‘Save the Date’ for Destination Weddings

You only have 30 seconds to form a first impression… that is exactly what your ‘Save the Date’ will do. It will build anticipation and tell your guest what to expect from your wedding. For this reason it is important to make them unique. For example, if you are planning on having a destination wedding in Puerto Rico you can achieve that by highlighting what the island features like, the charm of a historic old town, the beaches, the warm weather, etc… Remember also that some of your invitees will make of your wedding a vacation so, why not make it really interesting and emphasize that too!

Send the ‘Save the date’ within 6-8 months before the wedding so your guest can start making plans and saving money.  Don’t forget to add the date, your return address, place of the wedding and the wording “invitation to follow”.

Below are some fun ideas you can choose from for your ‘Save the Date’ to ensure that the expectancy is created. Enjoy!

Which ‘Save the date’ is your favorite? Tell me about your ideas.  I would love to hear what you are coming up with.

Till next time,
