Remembering lost loved ones at your Wedding

I was watching a couple of nights ago the trailer of the new movie “Brick Mansions” and seeing Paul Walker suddenly make me remembered all the buzz after his death and the uneasy feelings. The fans were expressing all their love in different ways and it got me thinking that losing someone hits you more when you celebrate big moments in your life, like your wedding. It is only natural that we want to make all our love ones part of the big day so, honoring those that are no longer with us is important too.

How can you include beautiful memories of that special person to one of the most important days in your life without creating a sad atmosphere? This is a delicate matter, you do want everybody to understand how significant it is for you in the loveliest way possible. I will share with you some of the ideas I found and think will accomplish that in a subtle way.

  • Have a picture of a fun moment, even laughing of you or your fiancé with that special someone.
  • Place a candle with their name engraved.
  • Have a flower with a different color in your Bridal Bouquet.
  • Have a detail in your bouquet symbolizing that special person.
  • Have a charm hanging from your bouquet with a picture of that person.

I hope that you were able to find in this few ideas one that will allow you to share your happiness while honoring that special someone.

Until the next time,
