Top 5 Adventure Tours in Puerto Rico for Honeymooners
When it comes to honeymoons, most brides look for destinations in which they can just relax and enjoy a paradisiac getaway with their loved one. But there are others, on the more adventurous side, that prefer looking for extreme destinations in which they can defy gravity, velocity and even nature! If you are one of these brides, let us tell you the 5 reasons why you have to pick Puerto Rico as your wedding and honeymoon destination!
1.) Hang Gliding at El Yunque
This is the closest you will ever get to be flying and seeing the world just like a bird in the sky! There are tour companies near El Yunque National Rainforest waiting to give you one of the most exhilarating while peaceful moments you will ever get to experience in your life. And let me tell you, you can’t ask for a better moment to live with your loved one!
2.) Expedition at the Camuy Caves
We definitely recommend taking a day to discover one of Puerto Rico’s most beautiful natural wonders. Full of lit caverns, stalagmites and stalactites, these caves promise to leave a lasting impression in your memory. You can also ask for the nocturnal tour which is done from 6pm to midnight! Now, beware of the bats. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
3.) Zip lining at Toro Negro
You can’t miss this one while in Puerto Rico! Located at the second highest mountain in the Cordillera Central, the Toro Negro Rainforest is Puerto Rico’s highest rainforest reserve and you can do from zip lining and hiking to rapelling! This is the place to go for thrill seekers!
4.) Hiking at The National Rainforest
From canoeing and hiking, to free jumps, El Yunque National Rainforest promises to pump your adrenaline to your highest levels ever. And as a plus, this beautiful Puerto Rican wonder has breathtaking views from mountain tops and amazing waterfalls that any couple could enjoy without a doubt!
5.) Bio Bay Tours
The most romantic tour of them all and definitely a must see in Puerto Rico. Being something in nature that is found in very few countries of the world, we are lucky enough to have three bioluminescent bays in Puerto Rico: Fajardo, Vieques and Lajas. As you glide on your kayak, the microorganisms in the water light up in the prettiest shades of light blue you will ever see. Although is not as adventurous as the others, it is definitely my favorite!
Hope to have all you adventure seeker brides visiting soon!
