2014 Groom Outfit Trends

When it comes to weddings, the Bride is not the only one who wants to shine anymore.  Grooms are taking their attire very serious nowadays.  The end of 2013 and beginning of 2014 brought a few new trends for the guys of this new era.

Lucky for us girls, the bride will always be “The Bride”.  No one can outshine us, not even the groom.  However, I think it is cool the way they are showing interest in their outfits, since it shows they do care about the wedding details.

Last year, we talked about how guys were being bolder and braver with their clothing. So much, it has become a trend.  Below, find what I believe are the top 5 groom’s outfit trends:

Custom Made and/ or Tailored Suits for Wedding

  • Custom Made and/ or Tailored Suits:  Guys are now paying more attention at the fit of both the jackets and pants to make them more modern and sexy looking.

Non traditional wedding suit colors

  • Non traditional colors:  Colored Suits are totally in and it works weddings. It doesn’t matter if everyone else is wearing classic clothing, the groom can pull it off because he’s the one getting married.

Groom Patterned Socks

  • Patterns: Using patterns on the shirts and/ or ties is a great way to set the tone of the event and add personality to the groom’s attire.

Groom Accessories Trends

  • Accessories:  Grooms are being very creative with cuff links, pins and even with the patterns and colors of their socks.

Groom Clothing style

  • Clothing style:  the groom doesn’t need to wear a suit anymore!  He may only want to wear the shirt with the tie and vest or he can wear a nice “guayabera” shirt.  As long as it goes with the wedding ambiance, it’s acceptable.

How would you like to see your groom on your wedding day?

‘till next time,
