My Top 5: Over The Top Celebrity Weddings!

Just like the color spectrum, there is a whole amazing variety of women wants and needs when it comes to their wedding day, and how they envisioned that unforgettable moment in their lives. Some of us want a small, delicate and personal reception with only the closest family members and friends. But on the other side, there is that bunch of us that crave the over the top, not your average, go all out wedding feast! For some women, achieving this dream is not that simple due to their fearsome enemy: the budget. But A list celebrities don’t have that word in their dictionaries. In fact I don’t think they know it exists! Here I share with you, my top 5 over the top celebrity weddings.

5. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin

Let me ask you ladies: would you be willing to pay $1.6 million dollars to be the world’s most handsome man alive wife? I definitely would … If I had it! That is allegedly what Mr. and Mrs. Clooney paid for their fabulously lavish wedding, which took place in no other than Venice, Italy: only one of the most romantic places on Earth. And we didn’t expect anything else from Mr. Forever Single (not anymore) tying the knot.

4. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes

Since the beginning of their relationship, this controversial couple was grabbing all of our attention, and their wedding day was no exception! The controvertible Scientology (Tom’s religion) wedding was short and sweet and it is said to have lasted only 15 minutes. Now that’s my kind of wedding ceremony! The lavish celebration with 150 guests took place at a castle in Italy and with all its exuberant details like Armani wedding gowns, entertainment by Andrea Bocelli and fireworks, rumors say that the check went up to around $2.7 million dollars. And since the number five seems to be an unlucky number, after five years of a tabloid marriage, Katie filled for divorce.

3. Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel 

To these two lovebirds who keep charming us with their forever lasting beautiful relationship, the rumored $6.5 million dollars did not represent an obstacle on the way to have their dream wedding and celebrate such an occasion they way they thought appropriate! The Italian wedding with pink accents all around, including the bride’s dress, started as Justin sang her a song he wrote especially for her, as she walked down the aisle. The married couple described the moment after exchanging their vows as the most memorable moment of the day.

2. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

One of the most lavish and eccentric woman in today’s world, Kim Kardashian did not want to do anything less but leave us with our mouths open when her wedding day to Kanye West arrived. The couple is said to have spent more than $12 million dollars on that day. This lady keeps surprising us and we wish nothing but the best to the couple.

1. Prince William and Kate Middleton

This was the wedding everyone was waiting for and when the day came, it was like the world stopped and we all wanted to be part of the big event. When it comes to lavish over the top weddings, the truth is that no celebrity can come close to the future king and queen to be. After rumored that more than $2o million dollars were spent on the day the world stopped, the couple is still together and welcomed a baby boy that charms us with the cutest looks!

So as you see, having an over the top wedding is completely possible! But for some, the “over the top” term might mean something more and for others, something less.
